System Rack: Main Room Video Front Projector
As an option, some systems will include a Sony video front projector in the main room instead of a television.
NOTE: For details on video front projector installation, including environmental and ventilation requirements, proper throw
distances and screen size, allowable offset from screen center, and final adjustments, please consult the, Sony projector User
Manual, which can be downloaded in PDF format from www.sony.com/newhome.
1. Insert the R (Pr), G (Y), B (Pb) Television cable plugs into the "Component Video Output" jacks of the back panel.
2. Insert the composite video cable plugs into the "Composite Video Output" jacks of the back panel
3. Terminate the IR remote control cable with a 1/8-inch miniplug.
A. Use a cable stripping tool to strip off about two inches of the jacket insulation.
B. Untwist each conductor and spread the conductors out.
C. Strip off 1/4-inch of insulation and connect the White/Orange conductor to the tip terminal of the miniplug.
D. Strip off 1/4-inch of insulation and connect tithe Orange conductor to the sleeve terminal of the miniplug.
4. Connect the IR remote control cable to the minijack labeled "IR to TV."
System Rack: Remote Control RF Antenna
1. Terminate the remote control RF antenna cable with a "category-rated" RJ-45 plug. Start by using a cable stripping tool to
strip off about two inches of the jacket insulation.
2. Untwist each conductor and spread the conductors out. Use the so-called "T568A" or "A" standard wiring configuration.
To do this, arrange the conductors in the following order from left to right, as seen from the cable side:
A. Pin 1: White/Green
B. Pin 2: Green
C. Pin 3: White/Orange
D. Pin 4: Blue
E. Pin 5: White/Blue
F. Pin 6: Orange
G. Pin 7: White/Brown
H. Pin 8: Brown
3. Pull each conductor taut, flat and straight.
4. Bring the conductors together and insert them into an empty RJ-45 plug until the jacket is firmly seated under the
insulation clamp. The conductors should extend out the front of the plug.
5. Insert the plug into an RJ-45 crimping tool until it snaps in place.
6. Crimp the plug through the entire ratchet cycle of the crimping tool.
7. Connect the RJ-45 plug to the RJ-45 jack labeled "RF antenna."
