Planning
Once the homebuyer agrees to your plan, document the plan for installation. Prepare at least the following two documents:
1. A wire plan. This is a mark-up of the house blueprints indicating the locations of the System Rack, all wall control panels, in-wall
speakers, wall plates for RF, audio, video and speaker wiring; the Main Room television or video front projector, Main Room free-
standing speakers and Auxiliary Sources
2. A wire list. This should assign a unique number to every cable you plan to run and include an approximate length in feet, allowing
for a five foot "service loop" at the System Rack and a two-foot service loop at the far end in-wall location. You can later add up
the lengths to estimate the total amount of cable required.
What Sony provides
Sony New Entertainment Solutions come equipped with the following parts and supplies only:

• The system rack.
• System rack A/V components. These include an A/V receiver, multi-room distribution unit, 5disc DVD/CD changer,
400-disc CD-only changer, DVD recorder/VHS recorder, and for the NHS-3020 and NHS-2020, an additional 400-disc
changer for both DVDs and CDs.
• System rack internal wiring.
• Main room RF remote control along with the RF remote antenna, remote recharger cradle and recharger cradle ferrite core.
• Remote room in-wall keypads for two remote rooms. This is expandable to six for the NHS-2020 and NHS-1020;
expandable to twelve for the NHS-3020.
• Remote room infrared handheld remote controls for two remote rooms. This is expandable to six for the NHS-2020
and NHS-1020; expandable to twelve for the NHS-3020. Individual component remote controls. For the Sony components
in the system rack.
• Individual component operating instructions. For the Sony components in the system rack.
