Programming
Each infrared remote control Code ID number maps to a specific button on the Cable/Sat pages of the
RM-TP100 touch panel remote control (left). The Code ID numbers also maps to buttons on the remote
room handheld infrared remote control (right).
Notes on programming Aux 1 and Aux 2 Source Components.
For cable, satellite and other set-top boxes, Sony has provided an interface on the RM-TP100 touch panel
remote control. For Aux 1 and Aux 2 source components, Sony provides blank pages on the RM-TP100.
In addition to programming the Aux 1 and Aux 2 remote control codes into the CAV-M1000ES
Main Unit, you must also program these blank RM-TP100 pages with buttons.
To program the RM-TP100 buttons, use the RM-TP100 Editor Software. If you have not already
downloaded this software, please follow the downloading instructions on page 24 of this manual.
For instructions on using the software, launch the RM-TP100 Editor Software application by
double-clicking the RM-TP100 desktop icon or clicking on START/Programs/RM-TP100.
When the application is running, click on HELP in the menu bar and select HELP from the
drop-down menu. The instruction manual will automatically open.
