Diagnostic tools

Maintenance > Network Utility
This section includes network utilities (ping and traceroute) for testing connectivity and
troubleshooting.
1. Log into your router management page (see
on page 7).
2. Click on Maintenance and click on Network Utility.
3. Review the settings below.
Network Utilities
• Ping Utility – This tool conducts a basic ping/connectivity test to a host IP address
or domain name.
o
IP/Domain – Enter the destination IP or domain name to test
connectivity.
o
Times – Enter the number of ping requests to send and click Ping to
start the ping test.
• Traceroute – This tool conducts a test to check the routing path taken to reach a
specific destination host IP address or domain name.
o
Destination Host – Enter the host IP address test connectivity.
o
Max. Hops – Enter the max number of hops for the traceroute and
click Start to start the traceroute test.
