5.0 Installation and Use
11. Attach Top Tether Hook to vehicle
(1) and (2). Ensure
tether anchor
the tether hooks and locks onto the
vehicle tether anchor (Fig. 43a).
12. Pull on the Top Tether Strap to check
that the Tether Hook is securely
attached (3).
13 .Pull on free end of Top Tether Strap
until all slack is removed from the Top
Tether (4) (Fig. 43a).
NOTE: Your vehicle owner's manual
will give the anchor locations and
maximum weight of the car seat's
occupant for LATCH connections.
14. Check for movement of the car seat
at the safety belt path. The car seat
should not move more than 1 inch in
any direction. If the car seat moves
more than 1 inch, repeat all steps until
all safety steps are met (Fig. 43b).

5.7 Forward Facing Installation with LATCH

Requirements. See section 2.2
• Weight is 23 - 45 lbs (10.43 - 20.4 kg).
• Height is 50 inches (127 cm) or less.
• Age is 1 year old.
LATCH
Lower Anchor
with Top Tether
DO NOT install by this method for a child
weighing more than 45 lbs. (20.4 kg.)
DO NOT use the lower anchors of the child
restraint anchorage system (LATCH system) to
attach this child restraint when restraining a child
weighing more than 45 lbs (20.4 kg).
1. Place this car seat in a rear seating position.
Always adjust the base to position
(Fig. 44a) when forward facing.

2. Make sure vehicle is parked on level ground then, place the car seat
in a rear seating position and ensure vehicle is level.
