5.0 Installation and Use
11. Attach Top Tether Hook to the vehicle
tether anchor
(1)
and (2). Ensure the
tether hooks and locks onto the vehicle
tether anchor (Fig. 47a).
12. Pull on the Top Tether Strap to check
that the Tether Hook is securely
attached (3).
13 .Pull on free end of Top Tether Strap
until all slack is removed from the Top

NOTE: Your vehicle owner's manual
will give the anchor locations and
maximum weight of the car seat's
occupant for LATCH connections.
14. Check for movement of the car seat
at the safety belt path. The car seat
should not move more than 1 inch in
any direction. If the car seat moves
more than 1 inch, repeat all steps until
all safety steps are met (Fig. 47b).
DO NOT use the lower anchors of the child
restraint anchorage system (LATCH system) to
attach this child restraint when restraining a child
weighing more than 45 lbs (20.4 kg).

1. Follow the seat belt installation for use in an Aircraft Installation.

NEVER
install a Booster Car Seat on an aircraft because aircraft do not
have shoulder belts.
2. Consult your airline for requirements to use the car seat.
