Troubleshooting
<Reference>
If this device is not operating normally, the following causes are possible.
● Incorrect light curtain wiring
● Voltage / capacity of the power supply for the light curtain
● Light curtain DIP switch settings
Problem
All indicators are OFF.
The ERROR indicator
(yellow) blinks and data
cannot be read.
The ERROR indicator
(yellow) blinks and data
cannot be written.
ERROR indicator (yellow)
is ON.
The data indicator (orange)
does not turn OFF and the
data cannot be initialized.
The settings that were
written to the light curtain
are not applied.

Cause
The connector is not firmly
connected.
Sensor communication
error (noise effects or
communication circuit failure).
Data is not saved.
The write function was used
with a different light curtain
configuration.
The copy protect state is
activated.

Corruption of saved data.
Internal failure.
Internal failure.
The power is not turned OFF
and ON.
Power supply shutdown,
wire break, or other power
interruption.
When using optical
synchronization, data was
only written to either the
emitter or the receiver.
Check if the connector is loose and tighten firmly.
Check the noise environment around the device.
The data was not saved, so read the data from the
copy source and write to the copy destination again.
Make the configuration of the connected light curtain
the same as the configuration of the data.
If the data indicator (orange) is blinking, the write
prohibit state (copy protect) is activated.
Use the "Configurator Light Curtain" software tool
to cancel the protect state.
Check the noise environment around the device.
The saved data is corrupted, so initialize the device.
Read the data from the copy source and write to the
copy destination again.
If the ERROR indicator (yellow) does not turn OFF
after you initialize the device, replace the device.
Replace the device.
Turn the light curtain power OFF and then ON.
Write the data again.
When the light curtain is configured for optical
synchronization, always read / write to both the
emitter and the receiver.
