Upgrade to 4072B/4073B

There are four types of upgrade kits for upgrading from 4070A series to 4070B series.
• E3196B upgrade kit from 4071A to 4072B
• E3197B upgrade kit from 4071A to 4073B
• E3198B upgrade kit from 4072A to 4073B
• E3199A upgrade kit from 4072A to 4072B or from 4073A to 4073B
This section describes the site preparing information for upgrade kits.

Upgrading from 4071A

The Agilent E3196B upgrade kit is used to upgrade from the 4071A to the 4072B tester. The Agilent E3197B
upgrade kit is used to upgrade from the 4071A to the 4073B tester. The E3196B/E3197B upgrade kit consists of the
cabinet, HF matrix, HSCMU, some accessories, parts, and pulse generators (option). The allowable number of
instrument are shown in Table 2-3.
The 4072B/4073B requires 200 or 208 V
V , you must prepare the 200, 208, 220, or 240 V

at least 2 × 2 m

at least 1 × 3 m

Upgrading from 4072A

The Agilent E3198B upgrade kit is used to upgrade from the 4072A to the 4073B tester. The Agilent E3199A
upgrade kit is used to upgrade from the 4072A to the 4072B, or from the 4073A to the 4073B. The
E3198B/E3199A upgrade kit upgrades the testhead only, with the 4072A/4073A cabinet being used as the
4072B/4073B cabinet. The allowable number instruments are shown in Table 2-3.
The following space is required for upgrading:
at least 2 × 2 m
