Layer 2 examples

The following figures are a series of Layer 2 network design examples that map VLANs over the
physical network layout.
Example 1 shows a redundant device network that uses one VLAN for all switches. To support
multiple VLANs, 802.1Q tagging is required on the links with trunks.
