Fitting the boiler sections (unassembled)

Prior to fitting the front and rear sections, remove the
nuts and washers from the bolts on the boiler section
hubs.
Position the rear section and secure against falling.
Remove possible burrs from the hub using a file
(Fig. 7).
Clean the packing groove (Fig. 8, Item 3) where
required using a wire brush and cloth.
Clean the hub sealing faces (Fig. 8, Item 1 & 2) with
a cloth soaked in white spirit.
Coat the hub sealing faces evenly with the orange
sealing compound (Marked as LEINOMENNIGE).
During the next step, the nipples are prepared for the
closing up of the boiler sections.
Clean nipples with a cloth soaked in white spirit and
coat half the surface with the orange sealing
compound.
Fit the nipples straight into the upper (size 2,119/50)
and lower (size 0, 57/50) hub of the rear section and
hammer home securely with alternate heavy blows.
Afterwards, the upper nipple (Fig. 9, Item 1) and the
lower nipple (Fig. 9, Item 2) should protrude approx.
28 mm from the respective hub.
Remove any burrs which might have been created
with a file. Finish coating the outer surface of the
nipple with orange sealing compound.
