Disassembly Instructions

WARNING

Power Cord

1. Shut off power to oven.
2. Disconnect gas supply to oven.
3. Remove oven door and racks.
4. Remove oven from enclosure.

CAUTION
This unit is too heavy to be lifted by one person. To
avoid the possibility of personal injury, obtain
assistance and use proper lifting techniques.
5. Remove oven cabinet top and left upper cabinet
compartment side panel.
6. Disconnect Molex plug at left front control compart-
ment side panel.
7. Remove power cord Molex terminals from Molex
plug.
8. Remove power cord retaining bracket from oven top.
9. Pull cord through access hole in the cabinet back.
Remove cord.

Door Hinge

1. Shut off power to oven.
2. Disconnect gas supply to oven.
3. Remove oven doors and racks.
4. Remove oven from wall or cabinet.
5. Remove hinge spring from hinge spring retainer and
hihge spring arm.
6. Remove three hinge mounting screws. Slide hinge
assembly through access hole in front frame.

Compression Door Hinge

1. Shut off power to oven.
2. Remove appropriate oven door.
3. Remove screws securing hinge to frame.
4. Slide hinge assembly through access hole in front
frame.
5. Reassemble in reverse order.

Oven Door (Model A027DG)

1. Remove oven door. Set on protected surface.
2. Remove 11 screws securing door frame to upper
liner. Remove frame and glass from liner. Remove
door handle mounted on door frame by remove four
screws and nuts. Slide handle from frame.

3. Slide outer door glass out from under clips in oven
door top trim.
4. Remove four screws securing door top trim to door
liner and inner baffle. Remove top trim.
5. Remove four inner baffle mounting screws. Remove
inner baffle from door liner.
6. Remove four screws securing window mounting
brackets to door liner. Remove brackets.
7. Remove four hex head screws securing door pad to
inner liner. Separate pad from liner.
8. Remove door gasket and insulation from door pad.
9. Remove screws securing door window retainers to
inner pad. Remove retainers and window assembly.

Frameless Door Disassembly

1. Open door. Pull off hinges.
2. Remove one screw each from right and left sides of
oven door.
3. Remove five screws from oven door bottom. Detach
right and left end caps and glass support angle.
4. Remove two side screws securing top door trim to
oven backer. Separate glass outer door, trim and
handle from door assembly.
5. Detach door handle by removing two door handle
screws.
6. Detach heat shield from oven door backer by remov-
ing four hex screws.
7. Access remainder of door assembly by removing 18
hex screws from oven door backer.
8. Reverse procedure to reassemble.

Broil Gas Valve

1. Shut off power to oven.
2. Disconnect gas supply to oven.
3. Remove oven door and racks.
4. Remove oven from enclosure.
5. Remove oven cabinet top.
6. Remove broil burner supply tubing from gas valve.
7. Disconnect gas valve wiring.
8. Unscrew broil gas valve from outlet fitting mounted
in manifold. Remove valve.
Important Note: Use a soap solution to check for
leaks after installing replacement valve.
