WARNING
Problem
7.
No self-clean operation. Manual
and timed bake and broil operate
normally. Fan motors operate.
Ignitor does not glow.
8.
Oven lock light cycles on and off
during self-clean. Poor cleaning.
Bake and broil functions operate
normally.

Probable Cause
A.
Failed sail switch.
B.
Selector switch contacts not
closing.
C. Thermostat contacts not closing.
D. Open contact in rear latch
switch.
E.
Clean relay contacts not closing.
Bake circuit not being completed
at self-clean temperatures
above 650°-700°.
A.
Check both sail switches for
continuity.
B.
Check for 120 VAC at selector
switch terminal 3 to neutral. If
no voltage is present, check for
broken wiring between selector
and sail switches. Check for
120 VAC at thermostat terminal
COM to neutral. If no voltage is
present check selector switch
contacts. If voltage is present,
go to the next step.
C. Check for 120 VAC at thermo-
stat contact NO to neutral. If no
voltage is present, check ther-
mostat contacts for continuity. If
voltage is present, go to the
next step.
D. Check for 120 VAC at clean re-
lay terminal 7 to neutral. If no
voltage is present, check rear
latch switch for continuity and
check for broken wiring be-
tween thermostat and latch
switch and between latch
switch and clean relay. If volt-
age is present, go to the next
step.
E.
Check for 120 VAC at clean re-
lay terminal 4 to neutral. If no
voltage is present, check for
voltage at relay terminal A to
ground. If no voltage is present
at terminal A, check clock con-
tacts 13-14 for continuity and
check for broken wiring be-
tween the clock and relay. If
voltage is present, check relay
coil and contacts for continuity.
If voltage is present, check for
broken wiring between relay
and ignitor.
Check for 120 VAC at clean re-
lay terminal 6 to neutral. If no
voltage is present, check clean
relay contacts and top latch
switch contacts for continuity. If
contacts are closed, check for
broken wiring between thermo-
stat and latch switch and be-
tween latch switch and relay. If
voltage is present, check for
broken wiring between clean
relay and ignitor.
