Probable Cause
A.
No voltage to selector switch.
B.
Failed selector switch contacts.
A.
No voltage to clock contact 11-12.
B
Clock contact 12-11 not closing.
C. No voltage to selector switch ter-
minal 4.
D. Failed selector switch contacts.
A.
Failed thermostat contacts.
B.
Failed ignitor.
C. Open heater coil in gas valve.
A. Check for 120 VAC at selector
terminal 6 to neutral. If no volt-
age is present, check for bro-
ken wiring.
B. Check selector switch contacts
for continuity.
A. Check for 120 VAC at clock
terminal 12 to neutral. If no
voltage is present, check for
broken wiring. If voltage is
present, proceed to the next
step.
B. Check clock contact for conti-
nuity or check for 120 VAC at
clock terminal 11 to neutral. If
open contact is indicated, re-
place the clock. If voltage is
present at terminal 11, proceed
to the next step.
C. Check for 120 VAC at selector
switch terminal 4 to neutral. If
no voltage is present, check for
broken wiring. If voltage is
present, proceed to the next
step.
D. Check selector switch contacts
for continuity.
A. Check thermostat contacts C-
BA for continuity or check for
120 VAC at thermostat contact
BA to neutral. If no voltage is
present or open contact indi-
cated, replace thermostat. If
voltage is present or contact is
closed, check for broken wiring
between thermostat and igni-
tor.
B. Check ignitor for continuity or
bench test ignitor. If no conti-
nuity is indicated or if ignitor
does not glow when bench
tested or indicates continuity,
check for broken wiring be-
tween the ignitor and gas
valve.
C. Check gas valve heater coil for
continuity. If heater coil is
open, replace gas valve. If con-
tinuity is indicated, check for
broken wiring between the gas
valve and thermostat.
