3 Replacement of Main Parts

To Ensure safe Work
Turn off the Main Power SW and unplug the power cable of the Printer before performing parts
replacement.
In case that the DU-740/640 (Option Dryer) is installed, unplug the power cables of both printer and
DU-740/640 (Option Dryer) before performing parts replacement.
It is not possible to cut power off completely only by turning off the Sub Power SWs.
Unplug
Static electricity can harm some electronic devices. To prevent static damage, discharge static
electricity from your body before you touch any of electronic devices. You can do so by touching an
unpainted metal surface on the chassis.
You can also take the following steps to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD):
When unpacking a static-sensitive device from its shipping carton, do not remove the
component from the antistatic packing material until you are ready to install the device to the
machine. Just before unwrapping the antistatic packaging, be sure to discharge static
electricity from your body.
When transporting a sensitive devices, first place it in an antistatic container or packaging.
Handle all sensitive devices in a static-safe area. If possible, use antistatic floor pads and
workbench pads.
