3. Startup and initial settings

This section describes the procedure to start the predictive maintenance function.
Validation of the predictive
maintenance function (3.1)
1. Turn off the power of the robot controller.
2. Insert the "MELFA Smart Plus Card" or
"MELFA Smart Plus Card Pack" into the
controller.
3. Turn on the power of the robot controller.
4. Set the MELFA Smart Plus enable
parameter.
5. Restart the robot controller.
6. Check if the predictive maintenance
function is in enable state.
7. Set notification method.
8. Set detection level.(*1)
Now you can use the predictive
maintenance function .

*1) Since the score of the reduction gear abnormality detection varies depending on the
operating speed and operation conditions such as the hand load by the hand and the
workpiece, set the detection level according to the actual operating conditions.
