DEPARTURES, ARRIVALS, AND APPROACHES (PFD)

The Procedures Window (Figure 5-97) provides direct access to departures, arrivals and approaches—based
upon the active flight plan or direct-to destination. In either case, the departure and destination airports
must have published procedures associated with them. The Procedures Window is displayed and removed by
pressing the PROC Key.
SELECT DEPARTURE
'Select Departure' selects a published standard instrument departure (SID) for the departure airport or
replaces the current departure with a new selection. When using a direct-to, the G1000 uses the nearest
airport as a reference when displaying available departures.

Selecting a departure for the departure airport:
1) Display the Procedures Window by pressing the PROC Key.
2) Highlight 'SELECT DEPARTURE'.
3) Pr ess the ENT Key.
4) Enter an identifier, city, or facility name.
