and use a forklift (or other
lifting equipment) rated for
weight of this machine.
unbolt the jointer/planer from the pallet, and use a
forklift to lift the machine off the pallet and onto a
suitable location as shown in figure 18. only lift
the machine enough to clear the floor.

heavy lift!
you can also attach hooks and lifting slings to
the machine using the three lifting holes shown
in figures 19 & 20 with a forklift, hoist, or boom
crane. if you choose this alternative, you must
punch out the lifting strap holes—this will perma-
nently alter your machine.
if you are unsure how to lift this machine, consult
a qualified professional.
after setting the machine in place, remove the
shipping braces on both sides (see figure 19).
