Changing Your Login Password

You can change your passw ord from any phone that you 're logged in to.
By default, login passwords are factory preset to the numerals 123. Your
administrator can change this default password if needed. Polycom recommends
that you change your password when you first log in to a phone. Your user ID is
managed only by your administrator, meaning you cannot change it yourself.
T o change your login password:
1. Log in to any p hone on you r netw ork.
2. From the id le screen, press
Ch an ge User Login Passw ord.
3. From the Change User Login Passw ord screen, enter you r old p assw ord ,
enter a new passw ord and confirm it, and then press the Enter soft key.
You r p assw ord is changed . The next tim e you log in to a p hone, you 'll need to
enter this passw ord .

Locking the Phone

Lock your p hone to d o the follow ing:
Prevent u nau thorized ou tgoing calls.
Allow only authorized peop le to answ er calls.
Prevent people from view ing or m od ifying phone inform ation, su ch as
you r d irectory or call lists.
When you r phone is locked :
You can only m ake an outgoing call to a num ber from a list of authorized
nu m bers.
You m u st enter a p assw ord to answ er incom ing calls.
All keys and screen item s are d isabled , except those that allow you to
u nlock the phone or m ake an authorized call.
The m essages The phone is locked and Authorized calls only scroll on the
status bar. Messages that d isplayed before the p hone w as locked d on't
d isp lay.
You can u nlock the p hone by entering you r user passw ord . If you r phone
restarts for any reason w hile it's locked , it w ill be locked w hen the phone
restarts u nless your phone is configu red to start up unlocked .
