Accessing Personal Phone Settings with User Profiles

If you r system adm inistrator has set up the User Login featu re, you can view
you r personal phone settings from any phone in the organization. This m eans
you can access your contact d irectory and speed d ials, as w ell as other p hone
settings, even as you tem p orarily change w ork areas.
If you change any settings w hile you 're logged in to a phone, the settings are
saved and d isplayed the next tim e you log in to a phone. When you log ou t,
you r personal phone settings no longer d isp lay.
You can log in to a phone by entering your user ID and p assw ord . Defau lt
passw ord s are p reset at the factory to the nu m erals 123.
If a phone is in the logged out state and requires a user login, you can place
emergency calls to standard emergency numbers (such as 911) and other
pre-configured phone numbers. These numbers are configured by your
administrator. For information on how to place authorized calls, see

If the User Login featu re is set up on you r com pany's p hones, you'll need to
know how to:
Log in to a phone to access you r personal phone settings.
Log ou t of a phone after you finish u sing it.
Place a call to an authorized nu m ber from a p hone that is in the logged out
state and requ ires a u ser login.
Change your login passw ord .

Logging In and Out of a Phone

Dep end ing if the User Login featu re is enabled and required , you m ay or m ay
not have to log in to the phone to u se it. H ow ever, if you w ant to see you r
personal p hone settings from the p hone, you'll have to log in. If you d on't
log in, you 'll see the phone's d efau lt phone profile.
While logged in, you 'll have fu ll access to you r p ersonal p hone settings and
you r contact d irectory. After you log ou t of the p hone, you 'll no longer be able
to view this inform ation on the phone.
After you u se a phone, be certain to log ou t of the phone to p revent access to
you r p ersonal settings.
T o log in to a phone:

If the User Login screen is in view , go to step 2. If the User Login screen
