Selecting Contacts to Monitor

Select the contacts w hose presence you w ant to m onitor by up d ating the
contacts in you r bud d y list. You ad d contacts to you r bu d d y list from you r
local Contact Directory. To view the status of contacts in you r bud d y list, see
Monitoring the Status of Contacts in Your Bu d d y List
Note Integrating with Microsoft Lync Server
Your system administrator can configure your phone to work with Microsoft Lync
Server and communicate with others using Microsoft Lync.
Any contacts added through your buddy status list will appear as a contact in
Microsoft Lync. Any contacts added as a contact in Microsoft Lync will appear in
your buddy status list.

administrator.
T o update your buddy list:
1. Press
2. From the Directory, scroll to the contact.
3. Press the Ed it soft key.
4. From the Ed it Contact screen, scroll to the Watch Bu d d y field , and choose
En ab led or D isab led .
When Watch Bud d y is enabled , the contact is ad d ed to your bu d d y list and
you can m onitor the contact's statu s. When Watch Bu d d y is d isabled , the
contact is rem oved from your bud d y list and you cannot m onitor the
contact's statu s.
The d efault for Watch Bud d y is Disabled .

Blocking Contacts from Viewing Your Status

Block a contact in your Contact Directory if you d on't w ant the contact to view
you r statu s. If you unblock a contact, the contact can ad d you to their bu d dy
list and view your status. You can also use your Blocked List to u nblock
contacts (see
