Adaptive M ode Procedure—Chiller
Compressor Off
Refer to Figure 49, p. 86 for an illustration of the process
described in this subsection.
If the chiller com pressor is turned Off, the purge
refrigeration circuit Off cycle is determ ined by the purge
control. The purge Off-cycle duration is determ ined by the
pum p-out tim e, w hich is the greater of the follow ing tw o
values:
• Daily Pum pout—24 Hours (the pum p-out tim e over the
last 24 hours w hether the chiller is On or Off)
• Average Daily Pum pout—7 Days (the pum p-out tim e
w ith the chiller On over the last 7 days)

AdaptiView display.
The purge w ill be shut dow n for a corresponding period of
tim e, as show n in the follow ing table:

During the purge refrigeration circuit Off cycle, the tim e
rem aining is displayed as the Tim e Until Next Purge Run
in the purge report of the Tracer AdaptiView display.
If the controls determ ine it is necessary to run the purge
w hile the chiller com pressor is Off, the purge w ill be
started and run until 60 consecutive m inutes have passed
w ithout any pum p-out of non-condensables.
If the chiller com pressor starts before the purge Off cycle
has elapsed, the purge starts and transfers to Adaptive
M ode Procedure—Chiller Com pressor On.

Submodes
You can view up to six purge subm odes from the Purge
Settings screen. The available purge subm odes are:
Refrigeration Circuit On.
condensing unit/com pressor is operating.
Refrigeration Circuit Idle.
condensing unit/ com pressor is not operating.
Pumping Out.
appears if the purge refrigeration circuit
is On and pum p-out has been initiated by the purge unit
controls.
Exhaust Circuit Check.
initiated by an operator.
Pumpout Inhibited.
appears if the purge refrigeration
circuit is On but pum p-out has been inhibited by a low
condenser saturation tem perature.
