Bearing Replacement (Steering Stem) - Honda CRF1000 Shop Manual

FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Loosen and remove the steering stem adjusting nut [1]
using the special tool.
TOOL:
Steering stem socket [2]
Remove the following:
– Upper dust seal [1]
– Upper inner race [2]
– Upper bearing [3]
– Steering stem [4]
– Lower bearing [5]
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the upper outer race using a special tool.
Replace the
bearing outer and
TOOLS:
inner races as a
Remover attachment [1]
set.
Remover handle [2]
Remove the lower outer race using the special tool and
suitable shaft.
TOOL:
Bearing remover [1]
