Verify the Magnetic Stripe

The magnetic stripe can be tested from any test card that had the Magnetic Stripe check box
selected when running a test card.
1.
Wipe the completed test card with a clean, lint-free cloth.
2.
Apply magnetic developer (Part No. TUL001-014) to the leading edge of the magnetic stripe
on an encoded test card. The encoding data becomes visible as gray lines.
3.
Align the sight gauge (Part No. 560585-001) over the magnetic stripe side of the card.
4.
Using the alignment gauge, check the start sentinel positioning for each of the tracks. The
first bit of each start sentinel must lie between the vertical etched lines on the alignment
gauge.
