Mount the protection plates to flange/manhole cover. These plates protect the
internal surfaces of the flange ball from dust and sparks during welding.

Weld the flange ball.
Remove the protection plates and visually inspect the internal surfaces of the flange
ball for damage and dirt.
Ø 3.94 ± 0.02 in.
(Ø 100 ± 0.5 mm)
