WorkHorse H-ADCP Operation Manual

Salinity (ppt) – Enter the salinity of the water.
Coordinates for Velocity – Select Beam, Instrument,
Ship Coordinates or Earth.
Magnetic Variation or Offset (deg) – Use a chart to
determine the local magnetic variation in your area
and enter the value in the box (only available if using
Earth coordinates).
ADCP Xducer Depth – If the H-ADCP does not have a
pressure sensor, check the Use Manual Depth box and
set the depth of the H-ADCP transducer faces below
the surface. This value is used by the H-ADCP to calcu-
late the speed of sound.
ADCP Xducer Heading – If the H-ADCP does not have a
compass, check the Use Manual Heading box and
enter the heading of the H-ADCP relative to forward or
relative to true north.
Click Next.
