Oil Type ......Model T23962 or ISO 68 Equivalent
Oil Amount ............................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .........40 Hrs. of Operation
Move the ram as necessary to gain access
to the entire length of the ram dovetail ways
(see Figure 87), use mineral spirits and shop
rags to clean the ways, then apply a thin coat of
lubricant.

Z-Axis Bevel Gears
Grease Type ......... NLGI#2 Grease or Equivalent
Oil Amount ............................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .........80 Hrs. of Operation
Use mineral spirits, shop rags, and a brush to
clean the old grease from the teeth of the bevel
gears shown in Figure 88.

When dry, use a clean brush to apply a thin coat
of grease to the teeth, then move the table up and
down to evenly distribute the grease.

X- & Y-Axis Power Feed Gears
Grease Type .........T23964 or NLGI#2 Equivalent
Amount .................................................Thin Coat
Add Frequency ....................40 Hrs. of Operation
To lubricate power feed gears:
1. DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2. Remove acorn nut and handwheel from
power unit end of the X-axis leadscrew
(see Figure 89).
3. Unthread and remove knurled retaining ring
and graduated dial ring from end of leadscrew
(see Figure 89).
