Problem
I cannot install or uninstall the
PCL printer driver.
I cannot install or uninstall the
PS printer driver.
Coloured and grey objects are
printed in black instead of
greyscale when printing from
®
Microsoft PowerPoint
other applications.
When using the unit as a
printer, the printing result is
distorted.
The toner is not fixed on the
recording paper ejected from
the rear side.
I forgot the password for the
Secure Print feature.
I cannot find my computer or
print job in the display of the
unit when using the following
feature.
– Secure Print
– Proof Print
Cause & Solution
R The PCL driver can be installed by selecting [Modify] A [Add Driver]
A [Add PCL Printer Driver] in the installation menu.
R To uninstall the PCL printer driver, click [Control Panel] A [Uninstall a
program] A [Panasonic PCL printer driver] A [Uninstall].
R The PCL driver can be found in the following folder on the supplied
CD-ROM.
CPU
32 bit
64 bit
(where "D" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.)
R The PS driver can be installed by selecting [Modify] A [Add Driver]
A [Add PS Printer Driver] in the installation menu.
R To uninstall the PS printer driver, click [Control Panel] A [Uninstall a
program] A [Panasonic PS printer driver] A [Uninstall].
R The PS driver can be found in the following folder on the supplied CD-ROM.

32 bit
64 bit
(where "D" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.)
R Select [Color] or remove the check next to [Grayscale] in the print dialogue
so that coloured or grey objects will be printed in greyscale properly.

R When your unit is connected to the computer by USB, if you cancel printing
using your computer, then immediately re-start printing, the printing result
may be distorted. To avoid this, you must wait for 60 seconds before
re-printing.
R The green levers inside the rear cover are in the released position. Push up
the green levers to their original positions. Also, be sure to close the rear
cover after printing.
R You may have changed the password. If you do not remember it, run the
print job manager application, then delete all print jobs. Click the [Setup]
button, then enter the new password into the [Setup] dialogue.
R Printing from your application is not finished. Please confirm that the print
job exists in the list of the print job manager application.
R Make sure your computer is not powered off, in sleep mode, or logged off.
