5.
Press the Software Load/Diagnostic button to begin the language loading process.
The status indicator will begin to blink on and off in the Cadence 1 pattern described
in Appendix E, "Status Indicator Cadences." This cadence indicates that the system
is loading the language.
After approximately two minutes, the LED status indicator should begin to blink in the
Cadence 7 pattern described in Appendix D. This cadence indicates that the lan-
guage has loaded successfully.
Note that while in the "Language Load Completed" state, the system is not opera-
tional. To return the system to normal operation, the card must be removed and the
system powered back on.
6.
Remove power from Office PhoneMail by unplugging the power cord.
7.
Remove the language card from the expansion card slot.
8.
If Office PhoneMail previously had a port expansion card installed in the expansion
card slot, reinstall that card now.
9.
Turn on the Office PhoneMail system by re-inserting the power cord.
The status indicator will begin to blink on and off in the Cadence 1 pattern described
in Appendix E, "Status Indicator Cadences." It will continue to blink at this rate until
initialization is complete, and will then turn to a flicker state, indicating that Office
PhoneMail is operating normally.
Expect initialization to take between three and five minutes; Office PhoneMail uses
this time to initialize or check all of its configuration and mailbox data tables, so the
precise length of this period will vary depending on your system's exact configura-
tion.

Removing a Language from Office PhoneMail
If you wish to add a new language to an upgraded dual-language system, you must first remove
both of the previously installed languages. Language removal is performed via an Office Pho-
neMail language eraser card.
Note that if a port expansion card is already installed in the expansion card slot, you will need
to remove it before you can use the language eraser card.
