E
Status Indicator Cadences
During system shutdown, software loading, and re-initialization, the Office PhoneMail unit uses
LED patterns or cadences to indicate system status. This appendix provides a complete list of
these cadences and an explanation of their meanings.
The Office PhoneMail cadence name indicates its pattern. For Cadence 2, the status indicator
light flashes twice; for Cadence 7, the status indicator light flashes seven times.
Each display of a cadence is preceded by a "cadence start" state in which the status indicator
light is off for three seconds and then on for three seconds. The cadence start state is followed
by the cadence. This pattern (that is cadence start state + cadence) repeats until the system
status changes (for example, an error state is corrected, re-initialization is completed, or an ex-
pansion card is loaded)
Table E-1 lists system software states and their respective cadences.
