Before You Begin
Expanded Office PhoneMail System Capacities
approximately 180 minutes of message storage
The standard Office PhoneMail unit comes with two ports, one language, and enough
memory to store up to 180 minutes of voice messages.
3.2 Expanded Office PhoneMail System Capacities
A variety of Expansion Cards are available for purchase with your Office PhoneMail system that
will allow you to add languages, ports, message storage capacity, and fax features, as follows:
Languages
Office PhoneMail can store up to two languages, so that callers and other system users
can select the language in which they hear menus and system prompts. Adding a second
language to Office PhoneMail reduces overall storage capacity by about 12 minutes.
Ports
Office PhoneMail can be upgraded from two to four ports. Upgrading the unit to four ports
adds an additional 240 minutes of voice message storage to Office PhoneMail.
Fax Features
Office PhoneMail can be upgraded to provide a variety of fax features, including the follow-
ing:
– Storage of fax messages (with or without voice introduction) in subscriber mailboxes
(please refer to Section 6.8, "Enabling Fax Overflow Mailbox(es)", on page 6-10 for an
explanation of limits on fax storage capacity)
– Retrieval (printing) of fax messages from subscriber mailboxes to any fax destination
specified by the subscriber
– Sending/forwarding of fax messages from one subscriber's mailbox to another, or to all
mailboxes on the system
– Fax-on-demand mailboxes (two), allowing callers to route themselves to commonly-re-
quested documentation (such as sales brochures or order forms) and to direct Office
PhoneMail to fax that information to a specified phone number
– Fax overflow storage providing for temporary mailbox storage of incoming fax docu-
ments received while the fax machine is busy
