Removing the Recording, Playback / Erasing
Head (Refer to Figs. 1 to 3.)
1. Shifting the trigger arm seen in the right side of the
head mount in the arrow-marked direction, turn the
flywheel (R) counterclockwise until the head mount
clicks while moving frontwards. (See Fig. 1.)
2. Turn the flywheel (R) counterclockwise. The
playback head accordingly turns counterclockwise
from the position shown in Fig. 2 to that in Fig. 3.
3. Leaving the playback head in the position shown in
Fig. 3, disconnect the flexible wire coming from the
playback head from the connector CN31 on the
head amplifier & mechanism control P.C. board.
4. Remove the flexible wire from the hook b of the
chassis base.
5. Remove the spring a from the back of the head.
6. Loosen the reversing azimuth screw A that fastens
the head.
7. Remove the recording, playback/erasing head from
the front side (head side) of the head mount.
Reinstalling the Recording, Playback /
Erasing Head
1. Install the recording, playback/erasing head from the
front side of the head mount as shown in Fig. 3.
2. Tighten the reversing azimuth screw A.
3. Install the spring a from the back of the head.
4. Set the flexible wire at the hook b of the chassis
base.
5. Connect the flexible wire coming from the head to
the connector CN31 on the head amplifier &
mechanism control P.C. board.
