FRONT WHEELISUSPENSIONISTEERING
Apply cement over the area marked and allow it to
dry.
Remove the lining from the patch and center it over
the injury.
Press the patch against the injury using a special
NOTE:
Allow cement to dry until tacky before applying
patch.
Do not touch the cement with dirty or greasy
hands.
ASSEMBLY
Install the tire onto the rim, where the rim shoulder
width is the narrowest, to simplify installation.
Clean the rim bead seat and flanges.
Apply clean water to the rim flanges, bead seat and
base.
Use
only
tires. Soap or some mounting lubricants may leave a
slippery residue which
the rim and lose air pressure during riding.
Install the valve core in the valve stem.
Install the front tire with the arrow mark facing in the
Front tire:
normal rotating direction.
Install the rear tire with the "OUT SIDE" facing the
Reartire:
tire valve.
Inflate the tire to seat the tire bead.
Deflate the tire. Wait 1 hour and inflate the tire to the
specified pressure.
Check for air leaks and install the valve cap.
COLD TIRE PRESSURE lFront/Rear):
Standard: 27 kPa 10.275 kgflcm', 4.0 psi)
Minimum: 23 kPa 10.235 kciflcmz. 3.4
Maximum: 31 kPa 10.315 kgflcmz, 4.6psil
SUSPENSION ARM
REMOVAL
Remove the wheel hub (page 12-61.
Remove the tie-rod from the knuckle (page 12-17).
Remove the cotter pins from the upper and lower
arm ball joint studs.
Remove the joint nuts, clamp and washer,
