INSTALLING THE FRONT ARMS AND
FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS
1. Install:
• front arms
• front shock absorber

a. Install the front upper arm 1 and front lower
arm 2.
NOTE:
• Lubricate the bolts 3 with lithium-soap-
based grease.
• Be sure to position the bolts 3 so that the
bolt head faces outward.
• Temporarily tighten the nuts 4.
b. Install the front shock absorber 5.
NOTE:
Be sure to position the bolts 6 so that the bolt
head faces forward.
Nut 7
45 Nm (4.5 m · kg, 32 ft · lb)
c. Install the ball joints.
Nut 8
30 Nm (3.0 m · kg, 22 ft · lb)
d. Install the new cotter pins.
e. Tighten the nuts 4.
Nut 4
45 Nm (4.5 m · kg, 32 ft · lb)
