How to Remove the Auxiliary
Pump or Function Pump
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hose
end must be replaced. All connections must be
torqued to specification during installation. Refer to
Specifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Torque
Specifications.

Tag and disconnect the cables from the
auxiliary pump.
Electrocution/burn hazard.
Contact with electrically charged
circuits could result in death or
serious injury. Remove all rings,
watches and other jewelry.

Close the hydraulic shutoff valve located at the
hydraulic tank.
Component damage hazard.
The engine must not be started
with the hydraulic tank shut-off
valves in the closed position or
component damage will occur. If
the tank valves are closed,
remove the key from the key
switch and tag the machine to
inform personnel of the
condition.

Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hoses
from the pump. Cap the fittings on the pump.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.

Remove the pump mounting bolts from the
pump. Carefully remove the pump from the
electric motor.
Component damage hazard. Be
sure to open the two hydraulic
tank valves and prime the pump
after installing the pump.
