1 Connections
• Wire harness MCU (motor control
unit) coupler
• Gear position sensor coupler
2 Open or short circuit in wire harness.
3 Defective gear position sensor.
4 Gear position setting
Symptom Output signal of gear position sensor is abnor-
mal.
Check or maintenance job
• Check the coupler for any pins
that may be pulled out.
• Check the locking condition of
the coupler.
• If there is a malfunction, repair it
and connect the coupler se-
curely.
• Repair or replace if there is an
open or short circuit.
• Between gear position sensor
coupler and MCU (motor con-
trol unit) coupler.
(yellow–yellow)
(blue–blue)

• Adjust or replace if defective.
