PASSENGER GRIP WARMER DOES NOT OPERATE. (VT70J)
Check the "IGNITION" fuse and "TAIL" fuse.
Refer to "FUSE INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
OK FAULTY
Check the stator coil and pickup coil.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Check the main switch.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK NO CONTINUITY
Check the passenger grip warmer.
OK NO CONTINUITY
Check the passenger grip warmer switch.
NO CONTINUITY
OK
Check the resistor.
INCORRECT
CORRECT
Check the passenger grip warmer relay.
FAULTY
OK
Check the load control relay.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
FAULTY
OK
Correct the connection and/or
replace the rectifier/regulator
and/or CDI unit.
NOTE:
Electrical current flows to the rear passenger grip warmer when engine r.p.m is above 3,500.
GRIP WARMER SYSTEM
Replace the "IGNITION" fuse and/or
"TAIL" fuse.
Replace the stator coil assembly.
Replace the main switch.
Replace the passenger grip warmer.
Replace the passenger grip warmer switch.
Replace the resistor.
Replace the passenger grip warmer relay.
Replace the load control relay.
