Step Record
STEP RECORD is simply a method of making a tune by storing the sounds note-by-note on the display
.
In stead of playing the keyboards direct ly as in the REALTIME RECORD mod
e,
you can ta ke your time
to
input each single note
.
This is an especially effective method for storing complicated passages that
are
d ifficult to
play
or when the exact timing of a part is critical.
Recording procedure
Record the keyboard perfo rmance and panel
changes
.
1. Press the STEP REC button to turn it on
.

Press the Sequencer Track buttons
In the Program svctlon or the
up/down buttons under the LCD for

the part that vou want to STEP
RECORD. Press

proceed.

the buttons below the display to specify
the tracks for the parts you are going to record.
• For tracks 1 to
8,
use the

buttons

and for

to 16

use the
v
buttons to select the
track.
• You can also use the SEQUENCER track but-
tons to select the track. In this case

to select
tracks 9 to 16, make your selection while
pressing the 9-16 button
.
• On the display

the selected track number is
highlighted
.
Confirm that th is is the correct
track
.
3.
Press the OK button
.
• The display changes to the STEP RECORD
input display
