The Guided Setup Wizard - Notification of Problem Events display is shown
(Figure 8-30). The HMC can alert your administrators of problems with the HMC
or its managed systems using e-mail.
You can choose whether to notify your administrators of only problems reported
to IBM (Only call-home problem events) or of all problem events generated.
Enter the IP address and port of your SMTP server. Then click the Add button
and enter your administrator's e-mail address and the notification type required.
Click Add to accept these values and return to the previous screen. You may
enter multiple e-mail addresses by repeating this process.

You can specify how you want the HMC to respond to communications
interruptions to its managed system by setting the following values:
Number of disconnected minutes considered an outage
This is the number of minutes that you want the HMC to wait before reporting
a disruption in communications.
Note: The recommended time is 15 minutes.
