Next, the default gateway is assigned. In our case we have a private network with
direct connection to the service processor and we do not need a default gateway
(Figure 8-17).

If we have an open network, you must define a default gateway. This is a
requirement for dynamic LPAR functions.
A DNS configuration is not required in our private network. Press the Next button
to move ahead (Figure 8-18).
