Chapter 7 Installing Internal Options
If no SCSI card or RAID card is installed for the diskless type
■ How to Remove the Internal Hard Disk Unit
To remove the internal hard disk unit, simply reverse the installation procedures.
Keep the extension power cables connected to the internal hard disk unit when removing the hard disk
unit.

Install the optional SCSI Ctrl U160 lp (PG-130L) or RAID Ctrl 1-Channel 64 MB (PG-141C1L),
and connect the internal hard disk unit to the SCSI Ctrl U160 lp (PG-130L) or RAID Ctrl 1-
Channel 64 MB (PG-141C1L) using the SCSI cable supplied with the server. For installing a
SCSI card/ RAID card, refer to "7.4.3 How to Install an Expansion Card" ( pg.174).
The following shows the connector destination for SCSI cables.
Connect SCSI Ctrl U160 lp (PG-130L) or
RAID Ctrl 1-Channel 64MB (PG-141C1L)
Connect the hard disk of bay2
Using the hard disk access LED cable supplied with the server, connect the LED connector on
the baseboard to the SCSI Ctrl U160 lp (PG-130L) or RAID Ctrl 1-Channel 64 MB (PG-
141C1L).
For the connection procedure for the hard disk access LED cable, refer to "7.4.2 Installable
Expansion Cards and Notes" ( pg.171).
