Solution
1. Read the instructions on how to set your

by the recipe.
3. Old oven temperature was incorrect or new
oven's thermostat needs adjusting. Read the
instructions on "How to Adjust your Oven
Temperature" special feature on some models.
4. Open oven door only when necessary; check
doneness by turning on the oven light and
looking through the oven door glass.
1. Ensure that the door is closed and the self-
cleaning door latch has been positioned to
the right. Read the instruction on "How to
Set the Oven for Self-Cleaning".
2. Read the instructions on "How to Set the
Oven for Self-Cleaning".
3. Reset the clock to the correct time of day.
Read the section on "Stove & Oven Timer
Instructions".
1. Run the self-clean cycle again. Excessive
spills and dirt should be wiped up before a
self-clean cycle. Use longer clean cycle
when oven is heavily soiled.
2. Read the "How to start a self-clean cycle"
section.
1. Slide self-clean latch to the left to unlock the
oven door.
2. Wait for oven to cool below "Locking
Temperature". Thirty minutes after the self-
clean cycle the oven door may be opened.
Wait an additional thirty minutes before
using oven since oven will be very hot.
1. Reset the clock. Read the "Stove & Oven
Timer Instructions".
1. Monitor the odour over several uses or set a
self-clean cycle (on some models) for a
minimum of three hours.
1. Lower the oven rack and trim excess fat
from edges.
2. Open oven door to broil position.
3. Add 3-4 cups of water to the bottom of the
broil pan so that the water will cool the
grease and prevent it from smoking.
CAUTION: THE PAN WITH WATER
WILL BE HEAVY. LIFT WITH CARE.
4. Oven needs to be cleaned. Perform a self-
cleaning cycle (on some models).
5. Ensure that a proper broiler pan is used and
that the grid for the broiler pan is placed with
the slots down to allow grease to drip into
the pan.
6. Read the instructions on how to set your
oven's timer, selector and temperature dials.
