To Remove Oven Door
The oven door is removable for easier
access to the light bulb.
Do not lift the door by the handle.
To remove the door, open it to the broil
stop position. Grasp firmly on each side
and lift the door straight up and off the
hinges.
Do not place hands between the hinge and the
oven door frame.
To Clean Oven Door
To clean the outside of the door:
I
Use soap and water to thoroughly
clean the top, sides and front of the
oven door. Rinse well. You may also
use a glass cleaner to clean the glass
on
the outside of the door. Do not
let water drip into the vent openings at
the top of the door.
I
Spillage of marinades, fruit juices,
tomato sauces and basting materials
containing acids may cause
discoloration and should be wiped up
immediately.
I
Do
not use oven cleaners, cleaning
powders or harsh abrasives on the
outside of the door.
Inside Gasket
(Do not clean if oven is self-clean model)
Gasket (Do not clean)
Outside Gasket (Clean by hand)
Oven Heating Elements
Do not clean the bake element or the broil
element. Any soil will burn off when the elements
are heated.
To clean the oven floor, gently lift the bake
element. Clean with warm soapy water.
To replace the door, make sure the hinges
are in the broil stop position. Position the
slots in the bottom of the door squarely
over the hinges and slowly lower it over
both hinges.
To clean the inside of the door:
I
Because the area inside the gasket is
cleaned
during the self-clean cycle,
(if it is a self-clean model), you do not
need to clean this by hand. If your
model is not a self-clean stove, the
area inside the gasket can be cleaned
with a scouring pad and glass can be
cleaned with a household glass cleaner.
I
I
The
area outside the gasket can be
cleaned
with a scouring pad.
I
Do not rub or clean the door gasket –
the fiberglass material of the gasket
has an extremely low resistance to
abrasion. An intact and well-fitting oven
door gasket is essential for energy
efficient oven operation and good
baking results. If you notice the gasket
becoming worn, frayed or damaged
in any way or if it has become displaced
on the door, it should be replaced.
NOTE: The gasket is designed with a gap
at the bottom to allow for proper air
circulation.
