SETUP PROCEDURES

Prior to Setup

Turning On The Power

1. Plug the power cord in to the AC outlet.
2. Turn on the power switch on the rear panel.
The operate LED lights, and the date, time and operat-
ing status are displayed on the LCD.
Power-on recording will start if [EXT] is selected for
[Timer Rec] with the LCD button.
Note: Avoid to turn the power on and off quickly. Take
at least a period of 5 seconds from off to on or vice
versa.

1. Press the stop button to quit recording or playback.
Make certain that the HDD access lamp turns off.
2. Turn off the power switch on the rear panel.
The operate LED goes out, and the operating status
on the LCD disappears.
Note:
• Do not turn off the power while the HDD access
lamp lights.
• Do not leave the unit for a long time. Supply AC
power to the unit and turn it on to charge up the
backup battery.
