Password Setup
102 PASSWORD LOCK
A 5-digit password is entered to protect all settings, record-
ed pictures, and operating status, or only settings from
unauthorized access. While the LOCK indicator lights on
the front panel, the LCD warns the unauthorized operator
by displaying "Now Key locked!", and the buzzer beeps if
accessed.

1. Move the cursor to PASSWORD LOCK with the up [ ]
and down [ ] buttons.
2. Select either ON or OFF with the JogDial.
The default value is OFF.
ON: Buttons are protected by entered password from
misoperation and tampering. The recorder enters
the button lock mode when no button or JogDial is
operated for five minutes as long as ON is selected.
OFF: No protection is applied except when enebling
the button lock with the LCD button described in the
right column of this page.

Note: Select OFF when you need not the lock mode.
The recorder enters the button lock mode when no
button or JogDial is operated for five minutes as
long as ON is selected.
3. Move the cursor to ALL or OPERATE with the up [ ] or
down [ ] button.
ALL: Both normal operations and setup operations are
allowed.
OPERATE: Normal operations are allowed.

4. Press the JogDial.
LCD
The preset password appears. The default value is set
to "12345" for both ALL and OPERATE.
5. Select a number with the JogDial, then press it.
The cursor moves to the right a digit.
6. Repeat step 6 and 7 above until all digits are entered.
7. Press the [SETUP/ESC] button to confirm the entered
password. Go back to step 3 when OPERATE pass-
word is not set yet.

1. Move the cursor to KEYLOCK BUZZER with the up [ ]
and down [ ] buttons.
2. Rotate the JogDial to select ON or OFF, then press the
JogDial. The default value is OFF.
ON: Buzzer beeps when unauthorized access takes
place.
OFF: Buzzer does not sound.
