ADJ 5.1
Grid Adjust
Purpose
Ensures that the horizontal
print alignment
is
within specification.
NOTE: Figure 1 is an example of the test
pattern printed in the Grid Adjust Mode.
The center Grid Line Set represents the
current hodzontalpdnt
alignment. The
sets of Grid Lines above and below the
center Grid Line Set are printed to assist
in determining whether the cunent value
should be changed in the pas [+j or the
neg (-) direction.
Each vertical line is formed by three short
lines. If the three lines we properly
aligned, perfectly straight lines will be
printed. The adjustment moves only the
middle line of the three lines. The
adjustment range is i32.
Adjustment
1.
Enter the service mode and print the Grid
Adjust pattern (Figure 1).

Check for correct vedical alignment of the
center Grid Line Sei. If the check is good, exit
the procedure.
3.
Change the current value to a setting that will
align the three short lines of the center grid
line set.

the current
value.

to mcrease the current value.

Store the new value by pressing El
4.
Repeat the adjustment.
