VALVE CLEARANCE
NOTE
• Inwect and ~dj()ST va lve clearance
whi le th e eng ine is cold (below 3SoCf
9SoF).
• Make l ure the decompre"o r val ve
liher has free play.
Discoone<::t t he fue l tubt.
Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Remove the timing mar k ho1e cap and the valve
adjllSler covers.
Rot ate the cranklhaft by using t he recoil
star ler and align the " T" mar k On t he rO lor
WiTh t he inde ~ mar k. The piston must be at
TDC of the comprenio ~ stroke.

Intake: 0.06 mm (0.002 in )

on th e feeler gauge.
Hold Ihe adjust ing .Crew and l ighte n Th e lock
nut.
