Shutting down, rebooting, and restarting the CX3641MFP

Generally, you can leave the CX3641MFP and the copier/printer running all the time. This
section describes how to shut down and restart the CX3641MFP when necessary.

Shutting down the CX3641MFP

When you need to shut down the CX3641MFP, fonts downloaded to the CX3641MFP are
not deleted. Jobs in the Hold and Print queues and jobs that have been processed but not
printed are not deleted and are available for printing when you reboot or restart the
CX3641MFP.

Do not turn off the scanner unit while scanning is in progress.

1 Make sure that the CX3641MFP is not receiving, processing, or printing any files.
If the system has just finished processing, wait at least five seconds after the system
reaches Idle before beginning the shutdown procedure.
2 Press and hold down the Shutdown/Restart button (1) on the printer unit control panel to start
the shutdown process.
