Before connecting the appliance to the
mains supply, make sure that the con‐
nection data on the data plate corre‐
sponds to the voltage and frequency of
the household supply. This data must
correspond in order to avoid the risk of
damage to the appliance. Consult a
qualified electrician if in any doubt.
The necessary connection information
is given on the data plate inside your
appliance.
Danger of injury! All electrical work
should be undertaken by a suitably
qualified and competent person. Instal‐
lation, repairs and other work by un‐
qualified persons could be dangerous.
Miele cannot be held liable for unau‐
thorised work. Ensure power is not sup‐
plied to the appliance until after installa‐
tion or repair work has been carried
out. The appliance is supplied with a
mains connection cable and plug for
connection to AC 50 Hz, 230 V.
The fuse rating must be at least 16 A.
Connection should be made via a fused
plug and suitable switched socket
which is easily accessible after installa‐
tion. If the mains socket is not accessi‐
ble after the appliance has been built in,
a separator for each terminal must be
present. There must be an all-pole con‐
tact gap of at least 3 mm in the switch
(including switch, fuses and relays ac‐
cording to EN 60335).
Do not connect the machine to an in‐
verter such as those used with an au‐
tonomous energy source e.g. Solar
power. When switched on, peak loads
in the system can cause the safety
switch off mechanism to be triggered.
This can damage the electronic unit.

Electrical connection

The machine must not be used with so-
called energy saving plugs either.
These reduce the amount of energy
supplied to the machine causing it to
overheat.
