IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

A. Use this unit onlLI in the manner intended
bLIthe manufacturer. If LlOUhave questions,

B. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch
power off at service panel and lock the service
disconnecting means to prevent power
from being switched on accidentallLI. When
the service disconnecting means cannot be
locked, securelLI fasten a prominent warning
device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
C. Do not use this unit with ang solid-state speed
control device.
D. This unit must be grounded.

B. NEVERPICKUP A FLAMING PAN--
You mag be burned.
C. DO NOT USEWATER,including wet dishcloths
or towels-a violent steam explosion will result.
D. Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
1. You know gou have a Class ABC
extinguisher, and Llou alreadg know how to
operate it.
2. The fire is small and contained in the area
where it started.
3. The fire department is being called.
4. You can fight the fire with gout back to an
exit.

A. Never leave surface units unattended at high
settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasLI
spillovers that mag ignite. Heat oils slowlg on
low or medium settings.
B. AlwaLISturn hood ON when cooking at high
heat or when flamb6ing food (ie: Crepes
Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef
Flamb#).
C. Clean ventilating fans frequentlLI. Grease
should not be allowed to accumulate on fan
or filter.
D. Use proper pan size. AlwaLISuse cookware
appropriate for the size of the surface
element.

prevent back drafting. Follow the heating
equipment manufacturer's guideline and
safetg standards such as those published
bg the National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA),and the American Societg for Heating,
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), and the local code authorities. When
applicable, install ang makeup (replacement)
air sgstem in accordance with local building

not damage electrical wiring and other hidden
