IMPORTANT ICONS
Nursery Unit:
When this icon appears, batteries
need to be replaced in the Nursery
Unit.
Out-of-Range:
Indicates the lost of connection
between the Parent Unit and the
Nursery Unit. This icon will also flash
with the channel number on the
Parent Unit screen when in Channel
selection mode.
Parent Unit:
This icon will only be on during
Channel Selection mode.
Temperature Display:
Indicates room temperature
(Displays Celsius, Fahrenheit in USA)

STEP 4 - TESTING AND GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MONITOR

4.1 - OUT OF RANGE FUNCTION
Your monitor has an Out-of-Range function that advises you when your two units
are not communicating. Out-of-Range situations can be caused by distance or
by physical interferences.
RANGE:
Open field (Open area without obstructions): up to 820 feet (250 meters).
TO ACTIVATE THIS FUNCTION:
OUT-OF-RANGE ALARM
• Alarm activates when your two units are not communicating.
• The Parent Unit will emit a double beep every 8 seconds.
• Out-of-Range icon will flash on the screen.

Indicates selected channel
Sound Level Indicator:
Indicates the sound level on the Parent
Unit.
Battery Level icon:
Indicates battery level

Slide switch Up

the Nursery Unit signal

The Out-of-Range will flash
when changing the channel
or if the unit is reconnecting.
IMPORTANT
If the Out-of-Range function is activated and you turn the Nursery Unit OFF the
Out-of-Range Alarm will sound. Turn the Nursery Unit ON again to reactivate the function.
TO STOP THE OUT-OF-RANGE ALARM:
Turn the Parent
OR
Unit OFF
4.2 - SOUND TRANSMISSION (VOX)
Your Angelcare
monitor is equipped with a voice-activated system. The Nursery Unit
®
will be activated and transmit sounds to the Parent Unit only when it captures sounds.
The sensitivity dial allows controlling the level of sound picked up and transmitted by the
Nursery Unit.
TO TEST SOUND:
Ask someone to speak into the Nursery
Unit or place the unit near a radio to ensure
that sound is being picked up.
IMPORTANT
To avoid feedback (whistling),
keep both units at least 10 feet
apart (3 meters).
Turn the Nursery
Unit ON
IF YOU HEAR NO SOUND:
• Check that both units are switched on.
• Check that both units are plugged into
functioning electrical outlets.
• Check the batteries in both units
(replace or recharge them as necessary
per unit).
• Bring the Parent Unit closer to the
Nursery Unit.
